Captain Anderson began his adventure in law enforcement after taking the Law Enforcement class at the Windham Regional Career Center. He has worked in numerous capacities in the Sheriff's Department, since 2004. He is a graduate of the Vermont Police Academy's 84th Full-time Basic for Police Professionals.

Captain Anderson is the Chief Deputy, responsible for contracting operations, administrative support and operations. He enjoys work in traffic safety and maintains several certifications in that area. He has been certified by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration as a Master Instructor in RADAR and LIDAR speed measuring devices. He also designed this website and serves as the Webmaster.

Captain Anderson was previously the Executive Officer; Vernon Division Chief; Administrative and Support Sergeant; a Patrol Corporal; a School Resource Officer at the Brattleboro Union High School District; and a Sexual Assault and Severe Child Abuse Investigator for the Southeastern Unit for Special Investigations (SUSI). He also was a non-lethal use of force instructor and an Oleoresin Capsicum instructor. He was the first deputy sheriff in the State of Vermont to become a Drug Recognition Expert, serving more than eight years as a DRE.

Captain Anderson is currently serving in the Massachusetts Air National Guard. He serves on the I.N.S.P.I.R.E. for Autism Board of Directors. He has a Bachelor's of Business Administration from the University of Massachusetts Isenberg School of Business.
