Between 12/12/25 and 01/01/26 the Windham County Highway Safety Task Force conducted patrols as part of the national Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over Holiday DUI Campaign. The event culminated on New Years Eve with three saturation patrols conducted in the Brattleboro, Rockingham and Dover areas. Taking part in the patrols were members of the Windham County Sheriff's Office, Bellows Falls Police Department, Brattleboro Police Department, Dover Police Department and the Chester Police Department.
During the course of the campaign, 145 vehicles were stopped with 7 arrests made and 51 traffic tickets being issued.
I would like to thank all the individual participants and agencies for allowing them to participate in the campaign.
I would also like to thank the public for, by and large, doing the right thing and not driving impaired over this very busy holiday season!
Sgt. Chris Norton
Windham County Highway Safety Coordinator
