Charges: Driving While Suspended-Criminally

Description: On September 22nd, 2025 at approximately 1558 hours a Deputy with the Windham County Sheriff's Office while on patrol in the Town of Vernon conducted a motor vehicle stop after observing a traffic violation.
Subsequent investigation revealed the operator identified as Hunter W. Neilson age 31 of Brattleboro VT had a criminally suspended license in the State of Vermont. Neilson was placed under arrest and transported back to the Windham County Sheriff's Office for processing. Neilson was then released on a criminal citation to appear at the Windham Superior Court, Criminal Division at a later date. He was also issued a traffic ticket for the civil speeding violation.
